Old School vs. New School

Over the years the charistics of a hero have changed immensely. Classic traits from heros are strength, special powers, and they always help people and stand up for justice. Peoples views and thoughts have changed heavily as years go by. Everyone that has heard a heros story, has to have a favorite. For me, two great hero’s stick out in my mind. The most pure, perfect epic hero of all time is Beowulf. His intimidating barbarian like qualities make him exceptionally heroic. Although he is some what unknown his incredible physical traits, as well as, mental skills make him the ultimate epic hero in history. Beowulf had the strength to carry Grendel’s mothers enormous sized head. The same task took three strong men. Wile Superman has the power to pick up the world and carry it around. It has actually been mathematically proven. Another similarity the two heros share is the love that people have for them. They receive ever lasting fame and glory and love and affection from the people they do helpful duties for. Superman is very popular and people love him because of his noble deeds. Realistically they should because he saves the people of Earth quite a few times. Beowulf is no different in this sense. After he murders Grendel and his mother, the Danes become obsessed with him and choose him to lead them and be their king. He remained leader of the Danes for
