Ethics and Business

        As our lecture progresses every day, we are able to know and to learn that ethics is really important to an individual especially one that engage in business or one that comprising it. We are able to understand that being ethical is also being moral. Ethics and moral are inseparable things because to be moral is doing things ethically. It is true because ethics is defined as the set of moral principles or values that define right and wrong. By contrast, workplace deviance is behavior that violates important organizational norms about right and wrong and harms the organization or its workers. To engage in business is to be prepared or to be ready to all kinds of situation that requires critical thinking. One should be knowledgeable enough to know what decisions should be make and what decisions should not. When face with difficult situation, an individual who has a lot of experience can make a better decision because his experience will make him weigh the situations and make a wiser decision.

        Making good ethical decisions requires a trained sensitivity to ethical issues and a practiced method for exploring the ethical aspects of a decision. Having a method for ethical decision making is absolutely essential. When practiced regularly, the method becomes so familiar that we work through it automatically without consulting the specific steps. Having people who are doing their job ethically are good in business because good people are a fundamental part of good ethics. They are also great ambassadors for doing things right.
