Hitachi is an ever growing company that has many products we use worldwide. I will review three questions that will give us a better understanding of this company. First, what kind of products and systems does the firm offer? Second, in what types of environments does it operate? Finally, based on what it has been doing over the last three years, what do I think Hitachi’s future strategy will be in competing in the environment of international business? With these questions answered we will be able to better understand the Hitachi Corporation.

Hitachi is a very busy and large corporation that has their hands in many things. Upon review of www.hitachi.com you will at a quick glance get many things that they use. Information and telecommunication systems is the first thing you will see and this deals with IT Platforms, Global IT Solutions, ATM and Self Service Terminals, and IT consulting. This all deals with communication whether it is over a network or with a user to input, Hitachi is on the cutting edge with technology and data movement. They also have technology in power and how we receive and move it, from Nuclear Power Plants, Photovoltaic Power Generation System (solar power), and Wind Turbines. On top of these to expanded topics Hitachi also deals with Transportation, Social Infrastructure Industrial Solutions, Electrical System and Equipment, Construction Machinery, and Automotive systems.
