In this paper, we will discuss the opportunity that Alcon has, to offer. Alcon is a local pharmaceutical company locate in Fort Worth, TX. Alcon’s has a leadership that has been grounded in cutting-edge innovation and breakthrough technology, as well as transforming the way they treat eye diseases and conditions. Alcon offer a wide spectrum of eye care products and the organization is split into three business divisions which are, Surgical, Pharmaceutical and Vision Care.
The surgical division, of Alcon offers a line of ophthalmic surgical product. These products, affords the surgeons the ability to achieve the best results for their patients. In surgical portfolio, we will find technologies and devices for cataract, retinal, glaucoma and refractive surgery and all so advanced technology intraocular lenses. This helps to treat cataracts and refractive errors, such as presbyopia and astigmatism.
The pharmaceutical division, of Alcon’s portfolio includes treatment option for elevated intraocular pressure which is caused by glaucoma, anti-inflammatories and anti-infective to aid in the treatment of bacterial infections and bacterial conjunctivitis, ophthalmic solutions to treat inflammation and pain associated with ocular surgery, as well as eye inflammation and infection following cataract surgery. Also, included in the portfolio is the vitreomacular adhesion, eye and nasal allergy treatments and over the counter dry eye relief and ocular vitamins.
The Vision Care division is one of the largest manufacturers of contact lenses and lens care products. Alcon’s Vision Care portfolio, offers a daily disposable, monthly replacement and color-enhancing contact lenses for comfortable and convenient vision correction option. Alcon also has a line of contact lens care products, that includes a multi-purpose and hydrogen-peroxide based solution for cleaning, rinsing, and disinfect contact lenses. Alcon also, has a rewetting drop which provides added comfort throughout the day and a daily protein remover to remove the protein deposit from lenses.
