Report Case

The project has been really interesting and rewarding in that I have been able to add on to the

experience gained during my work placement and learn new things. I have also been able to

incorporate almost all of my computing modules undertaken so far at university within this one

project, starting from first year onwards.

Looking back, I feel satisfied with my chosen topic as it is a subject that interests me, gave me

a challenge and which has more instant benefits to the client and its potential users. Above all

it has truly helped in building my programming skills and knowledge. For instance, I have been

able to gain knowledge in regards to coding in ASP, and further enhanced my understanding

of database design, SQL queries, Microsoft Access and JavaScript.

Upon completion of the project, I feel confident now to be able to deal with any of the

languages mentioned above, including any technical and non-technical issues and use it in

any real world project.

One important thing I learnt through the project that everything does not go according to plan

or preference. Initially I had decided to use PHP as my application server language but later

on in the project I had to use ASP as PHP with MS access was not supported anywhere. Thus

when it came to implement the application I had to change my approach and go ahead with a
