Character Strength

According to the VIA Survey, my top 3 character strengths are Honesty, Kindness and Creativity. I find all 3 character strength to be an acute assessment of my personality because I live for the truth, I treat others as I would like to be treated and I am constantly looking for ways to make every task easier and more convenient for all parties involve.

My top strength is Honesty, and indeed honestly is an important value for me because life is about living in truth and respect for me and towards others. I always make sure that I am being honest even when at times my honestly hurts. I find myself having very little tolerance for lies and broken promises and have a hard time trusting somebody again even if he and/or she has lied only once. Honesty describes a person, it talks about their character and it shows you how authentic and genuine they are as individuals. Honesty is the foundation of any relationship, if it starts weak, sooner or later is going to cave in.

Being dishonest affects you and others around you. In my line of work honesty is extremely important. In the accounting world we work with cash, confidential records and financial statements. If one employee commits embezzlement or the business fails to reports its financial records acutely, the business can lose its integrity causing the loss of thousand and even millions of dollars. Unethical behavior of an employee can completely ruin a business.

In my personal life I feel that by living for the truth my relationship is built with true love and respect towards each other. It shows the good intentions we have for each other and it gives some sense of security. If we all play by the rules nobody gets hurts, because honestly is the basic of truth and happiness.

In general, honest people tend to be more kind and loving. When one shows kindness, we usually received kindness in return because kindness is contagious. The sense of giving a helping hand gives me a great feeling of accomplishment. Kindness is essential for our personal
