Teens are one of the most important people of the retail industry. They spend billions of dollars every year at popular retailers looking to get the best bang for their buck. But now the problem isn’t them spending, it’s how they are spending. Once up a retailer’s dream, malls would be packed with teens hanging out laughing and talking with their friends and keeping up with the latest trends. The big technology boom and integration of Instagram, Twitter and FaceBook in their daily lives has now changed those thousands of dollars a day being spent while online. With there being a big decline in teens dollars being spent, competitors of Forever 21 want to know how they are staying ahead of the competition and continuing such high profits.

"Forever 21 is becoming too big for the specialty retailers to ignore." Forevers 21 strategic marketing scheme has held the interest of teens for so long and it only seems to be going up from here. A part of their success is owed to the quick turnover of fashion trends and the low prices they sell them at. Jeans at competitors such as America Eagle and Aerospostale start at $30 versus $15 at Forever 21.

Senior Vice Presdient predicted that F21 would become a global retail conglomerate and he was right. With more than 450 stores in the U.S and almost 100 locations internationally including Mexico, and China, Bank of America estimates the company’s sales of 3.5 billion dollars, surpassing many big teen retailers.
