“Ethics is not definable, is not implementable, because it is not conscious; it involves not only our thinking, but also our feeling” (). With the quote in mind, a lot has changed in terms of personal integrity, social conscience, conscientious leadership and corporate integrity. As time has evolved so has our thinking and our feelings and how we react and handle situations. In recent times, the human race has been subjected to a lot of crisis and disaster and had the opportunity to live thru these situations not only to live thru them, but also to experience what curve ball life has to throw at them but also to learn from them and to adapt to them to handle them better in the future. One of these disasters was BP’s oil spill which was caused by an explosion of one of BP’s deep water horizon oil rigs off the Gulf Coast. The disaster itself is a story of its own, it was the largest oil spill in United States history. The facts are the disaster spilled 200 million gallons of crude oil, effected 16,000 miles of coastline, claiming the lives of 11 human and 8,000 wildlife and costing BP over $55 Billion dollars in expenses ().
