CASE and ARTICLE WRITE-UP (30%):

Each student is expected to submit a written summary of the cases and articles on the day they are assigned. Students need to complete at least 4 assigned cases and 2 required articles. All write-ups are due on the day the cases and articles are discussed. Each case and each article will be subject to 5 percent (%) of the course evaluation. Normally, the instructor lists a few guidelines regarding the assigned cases and articles to which each student prepares answers in writing. The student can use his or her writing when participating in class discussion. The late submission of the written summary may result in score penalty. Some cases may be assigned for class discussion but may not be required for write-up.

Written case analysis (four cases: 20%):

Students will read, analyze, and present solutions the cases assigned for the class. This includes summarizing situation, identifying the key issues and/or problem(s) of the case, developing potential solutions, presenting strengths and weaknesses to each option, and identifying the best solution for your final recommendation. Please see rubrics provided for written case evaluation. See the following formatting:

1. A brief (one to two paragraphs) summary of situation

2. Identification of the central problem (one or two problems and/or issues)

3. Identification and analysis of options for solving the problem, weighing pros and cons.

4. A recommended course of action for the organization and why this is the best option

5. Identification of metrics (e.g., KPI), if applicable, appropriate for use by the firm

Article write-up (two articles: (10%):

Two global business articles will be assigned to students for analysis and write-up.

Some articles are assigned for class discussion but may not be required for write-up.
