Introduction
The purpose of this essay is to identify the culture and culture diversity in an organization and mention about how the culture diversity effect the workplace through different examples with the help of academic journal articles and what are challenges for an individual and managers to make the organisation effective and efficient. It describes how the Maslow's hierarchy of needs which come under theories of Motivation are having greater impact on culture diversity in an organisation.
Meaning
Culture in workplace means individual behaviour that characterizes the functioning organization in terms of the employee's attitudes, belief systems, value systems, work ethics, respect, autonomy.
Culture diversity in work place refers to the varieties of people found in a work environment. People of different races, genders, religions, political persuasions, competencies, training, and sexual orientations are found in any given workplace. (Organizational Behaviour 10e -Stephen P. Robbins)
