Sherod Santos: Fermanagh Cave
My poets name is Sharon Santos, a man not really known much in the world of poetry, but yet he has more then ten different awards for his work. He is a very meek man and doesn't like to boast about practically any thing.
Sharon is an American born poet that was born 1948 in Greenville south carolina. his father was in the air force and his mother was a somewhat famous painter. His father was very hard on him and made sure that he kept Santos on the right path. But for his father, the right path was the military. Santos and his father shared many differences and had a hard time seeing eye to eye on things. Santos was later pretty much disowned from his father when he took up being a poet, essayist, and professor. But still to this day Santos will say that because of his father he is the man he is now.
Now the poem that I am going to read is very interesting, its about santos and his son going into some mysterious cave some were in Ireland to go and tell scary stories. But when they are in there they hear voices and the "punk smell of marijuana." Also how they can see a light going in, and then back out. How he went to his son and said that they were gonna leave but he felt someone brush against his body. And how later in life, his son is gonna be all messed up and schizophrenic as an adult.
