To What Extent Was the Us Constitution a Radical Departure from the Articles of Confederation

When comparing the US constitution to the Articles of Confederation you might be able to pick out certain flaws. Just imagine how the unites states would be like if our founding fathers those 55 men who were all involved in the constitutional convention, never even consided, and we happened to be left with the AOC. It would be different right?

. The AOC had several flaws but two of the big ones were it didn't give the government ANY power to tax or ANY power to control the trade. It made the government somewhat weak, because they didn't have the type of control they would get from the constitution to betterment our country as a whole.

Im may through September of 1787 a convention was held to help fix the US, and turn it into something great. 55 white men whom were all roughly around the ages of 44, whom were mostly property owners. Wanted a change, and wanted it NOW. But before they got this convention going a few major key events took place, such as Shay's Rebellion where Daniel Shay lead farmers to Massachusetts in order to protest in springfields armory. Then the Northwest Ordinance happened it allowed other states to join or be admitted into with the west and all so bared slavery in the Northwest.

If none of the events that happened leading up to the constitutional convention never happened we would not be where we stand as a country today. Our government wouldn't be able to do more than half of the crazy things they do today. Such as controlling trade world wide.
