Chapter 1: Introduction

1.1-Company

        Bill and Imelda Roche AO, the founder of Nutrimetics International(Australia) Pty Limited in 1963. In 1961, founder of Nutrimetics travelled to Hunza Valley where he came across to the home of the ancient tribe called Hunzakuts. The Hunzakuts had the smoothest skin that he had ever seen even though they living in the extreme condition of Himalayas. He discovered that, to protect their exposed skin from the element, the Hunzakuts would apply precious Apricot Kernel Oil. This discovery was then led to the birth of Nutri Rich Oil and NUTRItional cosMETICS. In 1997, the Nutrimetics Group was subsequently sold to the Sara Lee Corparation. With the origins nearing 50 years ago, Nutrimetics has grown to become a leader in beauty innovation. Today, Nutrimetics is also part of the Tupperware Brands Corporation.

Nutrimetrics was one of the first skin cares ranges that formulated almost exclusively from natural ingredients and no product are tested on animals. Nutrimetics aim to manufacture product that combine the best of nature with the latest advances in beauty and skin care technology from the Nutrimetics Beauty Lab. Furthermore, Nutrimetics give opportunity to people to establish their own business. A request must be made with the company in order to become a Nutrimetics consultant. Nutrimetics will then provide several trainings to consultant. Consultants have benefit to have a balancing work, spend time with family, earns extra income and more. The company also offering another type of services which is the pampering workshop.

        Nutrimetics has grown to become one of the world largest direct selling companies. Nutrimetics considered that every customers demand for different needs as human skin type is different among each others.Thus, Nutrimetics always ensures that they keep made improvement in their product in order to promote high quality and naturally enriched beauty product available in the market.Theirsrange of product suitable for every skin type, age, woman or man. There are total seven different types of product categories which is Skincare, Body care, Colour, For Men, Personal care, Home and Beauty Tools. Also, they have more than fifteen types of product range offered such as Nutri-rich oil, Ultra care+, Hydrafinity body, NC lips and nails, Essentials for hair and many others.

1.2 Product background

        One of the product categories that are established by Nutrimetics in the market is skin care product. Nutri-Rich Oil is one of the ranges under skin care products category. The products in the Nutri-Rich Oil skincare range are Nutri-Rich Oil and Nutri-Rich Oil EL. Nutri-Rich Oil is one of the best sellers among all the products in Nutrimetics. Nutri-Rich is obtained from the heart of the Apricot which is the essence of beauty to women. Apricot Kernel Oil is the foundation on the iconic product in Nutrimetics which is Nutri-Rich Oil. Apricot Kernel Oil was created over 45 years ago. It has powerful regenerative properties. In addition, Apricot Kernel Oil has bring many benefits such as delivers anti-ageing, delivers the nurturing and protection that are needed by the skin to keep it soft, supple and radiant in daily life.
