Roles

Through my educational, volunteer, and professional experience, I have gained a broad range of knowledge in the different areas of IT from building databases to assembling computers. During my volunteer experience I learned about networks and performed the network admin role. In my recent professional roles I have worked as a help desk representative, completed a five week Java boot camp course, and developed projects using Spring Hibernate and now I am on the IRS portal team doing XML gateway engineer.

I started my professional career during my internship when I started helping my coworkers with computer problems. So instead of them putting in a ticket to the IT department they would just email or ask me to come help them fix a problem with their computer. After a month of helping, my supervisor got me access to the network and then I started setting up the new printers and computers around the hospital. After they saw my passion the IT department would ask my supervisor if I could go help them. Upon graduation I relocated and received contract work from an IT staffing company. They put me on a contract for a help desk role which I helped faculty and students with any issue they had with their computer or printer. I was also in charge of resetting passwords and providing usernames using active directory. I was the only person of contact at this role all work request were my responsibility until the contract expired. After I became employed at Accenture Federal Services. I completed and passed a five week java boot camp course. Once I completed the course I was put into a development role on a team in which we developed two different applications. The first application we developed the company is in the process of selling it to another company. The second application the company will start using it in February 2016. Once those projects were done I was assigned to an IRS project were I am currently the XML Gateway Engineer of the portal.

During
