What will your business offer these customers?

Our company will provide high quality nursing service and multi-disciplinary healthcare services to the elderly. Although the high quality and comprehensive services are one of most important factor of nursing home, these services is not a selling point in our business. Our selling point is combining nursing home and preschool.

Why does the customer need these features/benefits ?

About 65% residents have resided nursing homes from 1 to 3 years or more years and their family cannot frequently visit them (National Research Corporation, 2012). Although nursing staffs take care of residents, the elderly always feel lonely, though nursing staffs take care of residents. Thus, our company will solve this problem though making a relationship between nursing home and preschool. In our initial stage, we will make a strong relationship with local preschool. Our company will provide many interactive activities between elderly and children daily. Elderly can get happiness though playing with these children and children can know how to respect the elderly. In addition, there is other evidence to support my idea. According to the survey, 52 % visitors are children of the resident (National Research Corporation, 2012). If these visitors have children and their children study in our preschool, the resident can meet their family more frequently. Our ultimate goal are build up a nursing and nursery house.

Who are your target customers?

The elderly people that have lost the basic self-care ability are our target customer and their family have no time to care for them. According to a national survey by National Research Corporation (2012), the range of ages of main residents is from 60 to 90 or older. Besides, this figure shows that the most main part of customers is the 80-89 ages group and 90 or older groups. Thus, our business will pay more attention on the elderly people who are over 80 years old.

Where (location) are you going to offer the product/service?

The UK is one of the most typical countries in this situation. there are 10 million  elderly people who are over 65 years old in the 2010 and the number will increase to around 19 million by 2050 (Cracknell, 2010). Thus，this huge ageing population will become a opportunity for our nursing and nursery home.

According to the population statistics by Liverpool City Council (2013), Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool are cities that have the largest ageing population. However, Birmingham and Leeds have too many competitors, reach to 70 and 50 competitors respectively. Thus, the city that our company select is the Liverpool (Carehome Website, 2014). In addition, there are many preschool in the city centre.
