Assessment Details
(1) Seminar (Individual) Preparation 15%:
In order to maximise learning outcomes, students need to read the assigned case study prior to seminar and bring written preparation to the seminar. Preparation of case studies for each seminar will be conducted in writing, using the MBI framework discussed in lectures, before students attend seminars. Although discussion of the analysis with other students is encouraged, the preparation has to be written individually. Every student will be assessed during the semester on 1 or 2 preparations. The written preparation will be collected from all students at randomly selected seminars. The preparation needs to be submitted on 2-3 typewritten, 1.5 line-spaced, stapled pages, using the provided template (see course website). No referencing is necessary for this assignment. Late submissions or submissions via e-mail or fellow students will not be accepted. If absent when preparation is collected, the student will be awarded 0. If two preparations are collected during the semester, the final mark will be an average of both marks. All students are expected to actively participate in seminars and contribute to group discussions.
Marks for this assignment will be awarded as follows:
Case introduction (background/scope) 2%
Identification of critical management issues and key players 3%
Identification of cultural dimensions impacting the issues 3%
