By: Orson Scott Card

Ender’s Game is a fictional, militaristic, 1985 Science Fiction, masterpiece. The book was originally published on January 15, 1985. The book takes you on an adventure so futuristic and real that 31 years later, you still lust for the day, that these events occur because of the illustrious detail contained in this 384 page journey. This journey follows behind one young boy that holds the fate of the world in his 6-year old hands and doesn't even know it, but of course with such a great gift, comes obstacles to overcome. Our young boy named Ender, has a lifetime of struggles and accomplishments, and they’re all to come before he even turns 12.

In a distant future, far from this time, aliens have attacked Earth twice. These aliens, called Buggers, have threatened to extinguish the Human race too many times already. A paranoid world realizes this and turns to their only solution, the next generation of military leaders. The world collaborates and decides that raising the next generation of militaristic genius is the only option for the survival. This is the birth of something called Battleschool. Battleschool takes the best and the brightest kids and takes them away from their families and much more so they can be trained and one day, maybe be the general to save the world. Violet is Ender’s best friend, and best confident, along with being his older sister. She is loving and believes in pacifism, condoning no violence, but is just as smart as Ender and his brother Peter. This is where Ender comes in, the middle Ground. Ender is a boy genius, the smartest of all his siblings, yet not too arrogant, violent, or too soft. He was the perfect boy for the job, and that's what the government wanted.

Ender is just 6 years old when he meets Colonel Graff, and from this point forward nothing will ever be the same. After Ender pasts a series of test that even he doesn't know about, he's proven ready to go to take his part in saving the world. Ender gets to Battleschool as the underdog and from the start is singled out and hated for not only being smarter than the other kids but being publicly humiliated by the instructors to see how he
