Free will does not exist for everything that happens is already written. This belief of mine is due to my religious values as well as the fact that our past experiences all affect the way we behave in the present and future. We are all actors acting in a stage conducted by the Almighty. In theatres, the main idea is scripted however if the actor forgets his line, he improvises. Similarly, the big picture is already written but we do have choice as far as what is right and wrong is concern. At times we have choices we can take although the outcome is already chosen for us.
Fatalism is the idea that everything that happens and our actions not only will take place, but are unavoidable. It's the belief that whatever shall happen will happen since all past, present, and future events have already been predetermined by God. Ever since childhood I have been practising and have been taught Islamic values. Those values do not permit me to believe that we are the master of our own life. They always told us to pray to God for he knows it all. This explains that what we were, what we are and what we shall be is in the hand of Almighty. Since God is omniscient, God has foolproof foreknowledge. God created it all therefore knows all events. " Augustine derives his from his beliefs in God knows everything, he knows the future, and if he knows the future, the future must unfold in accordance with God's knowledge of it" (114)
