As I look back at the course, I enjoyed it more than I would have ever expected to! No other English class has been as fun or interesting. The fact that most of us learned to blog and present our ideas on an online media made it so much more exciting. It allowed us to include so much more (in terms of information from different sources).
I came into the course being unsure of whether I wanted to stay in the class but I am so glad that I stayed. The questions of what Canadian literature and literature in Canada were seemed vague at first but with the development of the class, I managed to narrow down the answer. Although the guidelines were virtually non-existent, I think it allowed us to do our own thing whilst still staying within the parameters of the topic.
I think I have learned a lot, from technical skills to understanding the complexities of multiculturalism in Canada. Erika has definitely opened my eyes to themes and ideas that I had never even thought about. I feel proud to have found an "answer" with my group for what it means to be in literature in Canada.
