ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Essay Format  

Length: 4 pages excluding any diagrams or references

Referencing: You can choose any type of reference as long as it is consistent

Your essay should contain a title, an introduction, a main section (the main section can be broken into subsections), a conclusion and references. Use 1.5 or double spacing. Do not use single spacing. Do not include an abstract

Some additional advice is given in a note called “How to write”.

Submission

The essay must be submitted in electronically via the Online Submission Folder on the ECON7530 Blackboard site. In particular, you are required to provide two version of your assignment

• The deadline to submit the preliminary report will be 7th October, 2016 before 5 Pm
• The deadline to submit the final report will be 24th October, 20016, before 5 Pm

The late submission penalty will be 1 mark per day.

Marking Scheme

There are two components to the marking scheme.

• 5 marks will be given to the preliminary report. Marks will be awarded according to the criteria listed below:

+ Format: cover at least 2 pages; provide the reference of the report

+ Completeness: in the expected structure of the final report (including introduction, main parts and conclusion)

+ Relevance: identify the main question asked by the assignment as described in the assignment instruction file.

• 25 marks will be given to the final report. Marks will be awarded according to the criteria listed below:

+ Format/completeness: cover no more than 4 pages, include references and in the expected structure
