In order to keep up and compete with the top food industries, George Weston is going through many changes to be the number one in the industry.
G.W. recognization of the ever chaning market is key to their competitive advantage.
George Weston have been strongly implementing changes internaly in the operation sector and "improvements there came from productivity gains and cost cutting".
Although it is important that all forces and trends be analyzed in preparation for the final strategic plan, the research done at the moment a challenge arises at G.W. Ltd will only focus on the main goal of pertaining this company.
George Weston leaders have fast reaction to mark change and the environmental trends. Their recognization and designed strategy are based on a fast change in direction when challenges arise
G.W. Ltd open many options when facing problems which "include acquiring more food companies, delving into new fields, a whacking big special dividend, or buying out minority shareholders in Loblaws."
These options are presented to George Weston that will push the company to enhance it's growth when in danger of a changing market and continue it's competitve fight with its rival food industries.
