Introduction:

Back in 2011 when Jeddah hit by the devastating flood AECOM appointed to handle the infrastructure for the Stormwater Drainage Program by a royal decree. From that JSDP (Jeddah Stormwater Drainage Program) was created as a mega project.

  • The main role of AECOM is design of the infrastructure and mange the operation.
  • The demand for AECOM was high so they decided to Launch AECOM Arabia as an official regional branch.

Main Body:

Fulfilling the required manpower and establishing the regional branch.by the 1st Q 0f 2012

AECOM Arabia commenced their operation for the JSDP project. The requirement was identified by the client to hire 750 employees all white coaler by the end of 3nd Q of 2012.

The HR team manage to recruit 73 employees in the start of the 2nd Q of 2012 by using manpower planning agencies and from that the introduction of the Mass Recruitment was a success to the organization as well as to the client.

also AECOM started to attract some local talent by attending career fairs, advertising in social media as well as the international universities to acquire Saudis who studies abroad.

Conclusion:

  • HR team Manage to fulfill the client requirement.
  • Smooth recruitment operation.
  • AECOM established a name in the Saudi Arabia therefore they landed more projects to manage, such as Riyadh Metro- Jeddah Metro- Consultation for the Amana- bundling the public school for the southern region.
