Aesthetics

On the aesthetic side of the video that I’ve watched, the design was good because it is very innovative. It is also quite simple yet likeable by its viewers because the color that was used is vibrant. Since their website is made for creative information, the website is intended to be unsophisticated. The video made its User Interface Design to be simple so that that it will be an eye catcher or the attention of its viewers will focus on the video.

Aesthetics

Having a simple informative website is good but since it is mainly used but sometimes some designs are overly used or as we call it “OA”. That is one negative thing that I’ve noticed in The Verge’s website and video. Some of their contents are very colorful. Although we are calling it as creativity, some users may not like how the website was designed and the type of art that they used in the video.

Architecture

Based on what I saw and what I have watched. The architecture or how the information was organized on the website is really good. I also checked the website of Fitocracy and I am so amazed on how their website was built because it is very organized and very simple unlike other website which has many features. They have some paragraph to motivate its users to use their app and some photos of app users who are very fit now.

How the information from the website is still good but some of their content is very crowded or too much word has been placed into a particular column on the website. And it’s font size is a little bit small that’s why I can’t read some of their contents. And since the activity feed is the homepage of the website the user will tend to stay on that page. As a user, I highly recommend that they can build their website as an Instagram like website or Facebook because todays users wouldn’t want to look on the same webpage or simply they want to navigate the whole website.
