Abstract

For my first reflection for this class, I have learned much this week. There have been classes before that did not impact me in the way that this week’s class did. I will discuss my thoughts on what I learned this week in class and how I will apply it in my life.

Reflection One

        One of the first things that I learned this week in class would be from a simple quote from values.com, “Can you imagine what I would do if I could do all I can?” What stuck to me the most about this quote was all of the regret that I have had in the past not trying my best in each scenario given to me in my life. This quote makes me realize that I should try my best no matter what the given circumstances are.

        Another quote that I could be able to apply in my life would be stated from Valaida Fullwood, “I have a habit of letting my imagination run away from me. It always comes back though...drenched with possibilities.” I could relate to this quote because I have a tendency to daydream during the day. This gives me a justification to not be afraid to daydream if it doesn’t distract me from important activities.

        Also, another key statement that I made a note to remember would be to be cautious of what you post on social media. There are many employers that will search a potential candidate’s social media when they are trying to determine if that candidate would be suitable for their company. Many jobs have been lost because of what individuals do outside of their work culture. This applies to me heavily because I want to make sure that I am a top choice for an employer seeking a new employee for their company.
