Executive Summary

Time and time again our analysis and that of many others has proven that one of the areas of greatest return on investment is properly utilizing the human assets. Our research has shown that there is much valuable improvement that can be gained. We believe that the development can fall into three basic categories, initial entry, stages of development, and corporate culture. Addressing these categories and proper implementation of a successful, consistent, and evolving human resource management system, will assure both long term and short term success for the organization. Properly using what is currently available will assure value no matter where growth will lead. Weather a new plant or increasing the capacity of existing plants having the right people in the right place will assure long term success.

Initial Entry

This will focus on starting off with the best talent available in the market. Training cost and productivity drops are a huge area were both time and money is lost.

Development

It is of critical importance that we continue to develop and grow the human asset. Each individual will have their own battles to fight but as an organization we need to be prepared for each stage of their development to assure the maximum return. And retaining these asset will provide stability and add in the long term growth as the market shares increase, and as Blinds to Go moves into new markets.

Culture

Proper Culture will assure the long term consistent growth of the organization. The organization as a whole is responsible for creating an environment in which people can improve and grow both in and out of the work environment.

Layout of the resume will give an initial signal on what entry position is best suited for the candidate. Language is also valuable while reviewing, the vocabulary and words are an important indicator of an individual’s current views are and are harder to mask then direct questions which some will answer falsely to obtain a position. The chronology of the individuals are not only to be viewed as a hire or not decision but also factor in to deciding which channels of development the individual can be processed and pushed through for maximum growth if the decision is move to actual interview. Past achievements are to be used to gauge a person’s current skill set. Achievements also can provide value when consider what motivates the individual.
