INTRODUCTION
The researcher will describe the overall leadership style of the chosen senior executive.
An analysis will be presented of the organizational structure and the culture of the company the executive has lead or is currently leading. A determination will be demonstrated pertaining to the company’s approach to human capital management and employee development. The reader will be presented with reason as to why or why not the executive’s approach has enhanced the work place productivity and the shared vision of the organization. Examples will be provided to support the researcher’s data that is presented.
An evaluation of the executive’s performance effectiveness, based on his or her ethical conduct and communication skills, will be presented. Evidence will be presented to validate whether or not the leader was successful in motivating and empowering his or her employees and gaining employee loyalty.
An illustration of the three best practices that organizational leaders use in order to motivate employees and transform their company, based on practices that the researcher believes has made the leader successful at his or her company and within his industry. Supported rational will be offered with an explanation of possible benefits that other business leaders may reap from the researcher’s chosen best practices.
Bill Gates Background Synopsis
Bill Gates is the founder of Micro-Soft Incorporated. Bill Gates was born in 1955. His father was a lawyer. His mother a teacher. Hacked his high school’s computer at 14. was suspended by the school; but the school realized he had a rare skill so they had him use the computer and find bugs in the computer system. Bill got accepted into Harvard. One day while he was reading Popular Mechanics, he read an ad about a new computer. He offered the company a programming language for it that he hadn’t even started to write the language. Bill flew to New Mexico to show this new language he had written called BASIC. The computer company bought it for $3,000. But Bill kept the copyright. Years later IBM knocked on Bill’s door looking to purchase an operating system they could buy. Once again Bill hadn’t written one, however he said, “Yes.” He found an operating system in Seattle and bought it; along with the copyright. Sold it to IBM, for a lot more and kept copyright. This operating system was known as DOS. Bill saw the opportunity to make people pay for software. Mr. Gates started to see the future. He was now a visionary. Bill understood very early in the IT era that computer hard ware without software was just hardware with no use. Gates wanted to create a visual operating system of his own. Being a visual thinker, he called it Windows. When Windows launched, Bill visualized a world where every home had a computer, and that computer was running Windows. Bill started to become very rich. And as his vision materialized, by 39 he became the richest man in the world.
