Business Design Concept -

My design concept is to produce designer leather bags. Since I am starting out small I would like to keep mostly all business on-line until I can afford my own shop and progress into a corporation. My design materials are leather and metal with leather interior. I would like my target market to be most popular to ages 14-40. Though this is quite a broad age group, I would like to keep younger age customers by succeeding a huge trend while keeping the product style full of luxury to fulfill my older customer. Therefore, my product is expensive and can be bought through wealthy teens and a successful woman. The bag will hit more of an urban, western, rocker type of woman and is very well made. I want to represent my country by making most of the product in the US and receiving my materials from South America with a mixture of American leathers such as deer to create jobs and make shipping less expensive. Since my product is expensive I would be making enough money off the product to continue this trend of production in the US. Since Europe has a tendency to purchase American made products I can sell my bags for a higher price. Therefore, in the vicious cycle of fashion and trend coming from the UK and Europe, Americans will then soon find that this American made product can be bought here and turn into an international trend. Building on the idea that my product will fly off the shelves and have a difficult time keeping in production fast enough, starting out will be very expensive . Loans, financing, sponsors, family, etc. will be used to prepare for the quantity produced. We would need to plan for advertising, production, pre-production, materials, forecasting any error, retail for sales, tax, web design, shipping, packaging, inspection fees for abroad, macro costing, indirect costing, direct costing and other material costs from another country such as HTS codes.
