Microfinance has in the recent past emerged as a solution to provide financial solutions to the people in the society who have traditionally been neglected by the formal banking/financial/insurance system owing to various reasons. Microfinance caters to small transaction value customers who have not been considered profitable to serve by banks and financial institutions.
We are a for profit microfinance and micro insurance company providing not just finance and insurance to our clients but helping them build sustainable livelihoods by handholding them to build their businesses from scratch. In addition to lending small loans and crop insurance we provide our customers with information and inputs, which help them in nurturing their businesses and ultimately turning them into profitable enterprises.
Value Proposition:
- Providing financing opportunities to borrowers who do not have tangible credit worthiness yet show promise of becoming entrepreneurs.
- Providing crop insurance to farmers across the country by charging nominal premiums.
- Assisting the clients with setting up of their businesses, finding suitable markets and business partners and providing relevant information to them.
Customer Segments:
- Microfinance - Individuals with the intention and potential for becoming entrepreneurs who do not have access to regular financing opportunities.
- Micro insurance – Farmers who are not rich enough to safeguard their interests owing to a lack of funds.
Channel: In the case of providing small loans the customers would be more welcoming in comparison to our micro insurance customers so we intend to have a bundled service for farmers. For farmers who are not borrowers, we intend to partner with telecom operators, seed and pesticide manufacturers since they have the reach as well as the trust of our target customers.
