Case Disneyland

1. Disney crew tried to establish Disneyland to France with American way. They didn't find enough information of European, and especially of France culture. Disney tried to fit American habits for Europeans, and Europeans weren't very happy. Disneyland in Hong Kong was made too small in the beginning. People in China didn't know very much about Disney movies.
2. They could have done more research of local culture and habits. When publishing EuroDisney, Disney crew didn't listen Europeans. That would have helped Disney to set up on right tracks.
3. In case EuroDisney, Disney tried to build a new Florida in France, so Americans didn't listen Europeans at all. They thought that American ways are better and that way.
4. In the beginning everything went wrong, but while by while they learned more from the mistakes they have done. After few years their operations worked pretty well.
5. Everything worked pretty well and operations were very successful in Japan. Disney crew had good expectations in opening Disneyland in Europe and Hong Kong, but Things were different in Hong Kong. There were over 300 million people living within two hours flight from Disneyland. Japans had very much knowledge about Disneyland already.
6. Situation in Hong Kong was different from situation in France. People in Hong Kong knew very little about Disneyland.
7. They should learn from expierence in Hong Kong, but at the same time they should do market research in Shanghai and China. We can also say that situation in Japan and Hong Kong is similar, but as we see, it was not.
