1. Goals for doctors:
All doctors should create a practice that allows them to provide best quality health care to patients. To facilitate an effective and fast treatment, that improves the health condition of patients or that keeps patients healthy, should be Doctors goal. Apart from that to maintain a good reputation of the hospitals or health care systems, where doctors serve, should be the goal of doctors.
2. Goals for the patients:
All patients goal should be to choose good doctor and hospital to get well soon and to obey doctors’ advice to stay healthy. Patients should concern doctors to know efficient medical treatments in terms of good health, cost and time. Patients should know about their own disease and different ways to treat the disease and choose the best treatment procedure, with concern of the doctor, keeping an eye on the adverse effect of the treatment if any.
3. How do define success?
In one way the definition for the success is same for both the doctor and the patient. To make patients healthy by using proper treatment is the success for doctors and to get healthier or recover from the disease as early as possible is the success for the patients.
Apart from this good reputation and salary also define success for doctors. And for patients getting best and fast treatment in terms of good health and cost, choosing successful doctor and hospital and permanent solution of the disease define success for the patient.
4. Measurement for cost of treatment:
Cost of treatment comprises of many things like salary of the doctor, salary of the co-employees working with the doctor, cost of hospital facilities, cost of medicines, cost of calculative risk patient take for the critical treatments, cost of patients’ time used for treatment, cost of medical instruments used (e.g. stent) etc.
5. Measurement for cost of failure:
Cost of failure comprises of cost of bad health of patient or life of the patient, bad reputation of the medical as well as the doctor, wastage of the cost of the treatment as described in the point 4, due to bad reputation negative impact on hospital’s potential future customers (patients), decreased confidence of patients on doctors, etc.
