Having developed your scoring key and assessment plan, Ann and Ryan now want you to recommend 2 applicants for hire. All candidates previously took the job knowledge and cognitive ability tests, as well as the conscientiousness measure. Their scores are recorded in this database Chern's Decision Dataset.xlsx. However, interviews have not yet been scored. Below are your tasks in the order they should be completed.
1) Using the scoring key you developed, watch a video (found via the links below) of each candidate's interview and rate their performance. Average their performance across the three questions to obtain a score from 1 to 5. Record this score in the appropriate blank of the spreadsheet

2) Decide which two applicants to select by following these instructions: to be considered for hire, a candidate must score at least a 5 on the Job Knowledge Test. Those who do not pass this "hurdle" are to be disqualified. For those applicants who remain after this step, calculate their predicted performance using a statistical weighting method. Record the predicted performance in the spreadsheet using the formula function.The regression weights and constant score needed to calculate those scores are found below the data in the spreadsheet.
