Critical thinking is defined by Webster as a disciplined thinking is clear, rational, open minded, and informed by evidence. Critical thinking is used daily in every aspect of life; whether work, home, or school. A critical thinker is an open minded individual who is aware of alternatives choices, uses credible sources for reference, asks questions, never assumes, and forms acceptable hypotheses for solutions. People do not become critical thinkers overnight. The process to become a critical thinker requires commitment and effort. The art of manipulation would cease to exist and people would find it common to think for oneself instead of depending on others for suggestions. Creativity would flourish and people would learn to listen to each other instead of over talking. People will no longer make decisions with their emotions. Accountability for one’s actions would be the standard expected from each person.
