Cuts by Maria Hair Salon is committed on providing each client with exceptional customer service and a unique hairstyle.
Goals and Strategies
Goal 1:
Financial objective is to have sales/revenue exceed operating expenses by minimum 20% within the first two years.
Strategy:
• Offer senior citizen and military discounts.
• Provide benefits for frequent customers.
• Accommodate clients with convenient hours. (See Hours of Operation and Staffing sections below)
Goal 2:
Create a positive reputation through effective advertisements.
Strategy:
• Rely on word-of-mouth, social media (Facebook and Twitter), advertisements in local newspapers, email newsletters and weekly shopper advertisements with coupons.

Communicate with current and potential clients.
Notify of special events, discounts, and new products/services.
Goal 3:
Develop a promotion in the first year that generates repeat clientele.
Strategy:
• Establish a frequent customer card
o For every 10 visits, the customer will receive one free haircut.
o For every friend referred, a 25% coupon will be applied at checkout.
Goal 4:
Donate a portion of each sale to select charities.
Strategy:
• Select charities include
o Locks of Love
o Local animal shelter
o American Cancer Society
• $1 from each sale/service will be donated to the client’s charity of choice at the end of each month, up to $2,500 total.
Hours of Operation
Cuts by Maria accommodates clients with convenient hours six days a week. By offering weekday, weekend, and night hours, Cuts by Maria is flexible in order to be incorporated into the customers’ busy lives.
