Project charter

Objective:

To let individual find their potential matches for marriage according to their priorities set.

Scope:

The website should allow the user to search prospective profiles on the basis of gender, age, religion, caste, marital status and also allows the user to view photo and horoscope of the selected profile.

Deliverables:

The website should be able to direct the user to the most suitable profile based on the requirements of the user.

Performance:

To ensure that the users are easily able to identify the suitable profiles according to the priority settings. Also, to ensure that the user information is securely stored.

Business Need:

To enable people to find their perfect match using the internet

Costs/Benefits:

The users can find out the basic information about the selected profiles online (instead of having to meet face to face). Thus, the user can benefit from this time-saving solution at a low membership fee.

Work Break down structure

A work breakdown structure (WBS) is a chart in which the critical work elements, called tasks, of a project are illustrated to portray their relationships to each other and to the project as a whole.

For this Matrimonial site project, top down technique is used because of the following reason.

• Project is well understood and knows how to go about
• Waterfall methodology is used as technology is not new
