Generally speaking, ‘diversity’ points to ‘many or variety’. Among the concepts of ‘variety,’ an implication of both ‘similarity’ and ‘difference’ may be included. Applied the realization of differences of each group and individual to an understanding of biological diversity, ones find out that the difference of bio diversity supports nearly every aspect of human life. By its unique qualification of each individual species support others directly and indirectly. (Suwanbubbha, 12-16 May, 2008)

There are many corporate fields which are having diversity as a component part of their

composition. Here I would like to focus upon one of the large and well known bank of Canada, TD(Toronto Dominion Bank).

Some of the reasons why TD Bank Group was selected as one of Canada's Best Diversity

Employers 2012:

 Established a formal diversity leadership council to oversee the development and implementation of a diversity and inclusion strategy

 In 2009, piloted an electronic "Women in Leadership" network site to help female employees at all levels connect

 Also manages a range of additional employee resource groups such as the LGBTA Pride Network for LGBT employees, Ability Network for persons with disabilities, Aboriginal Employee Circle and Chinese, Korean, South Asian and Hispanic Community Networks

 Created "Disability Forums" in 2009 to discuss ways to create inclusive and accessible environments -- also participates in events for persons with disabilities that are organized by community organizations such as Lime Connect and offers internship opportunities through the Ability Edge program

 Also in partnership with Lime Connect, created a summer internship and scholarship program for university students with disabilities

 Attends career fairs targeted to Aboriginals including the Aboriginal Human Resource Council's "Inclusion Works" conference, and also partnered with INROADS to provide summer placement opportunities to Aboriginal students

 Forwards vacancies to equate and customizes recruitment advertisements for Aboriginals and new Canadians
