Dragon Events at a Glance
Dragon Events acts an events management company that provides B2B and B2C services. We organize events, tours, trips, and weekend activities for different types of organizations and people. Our customer include business professionals, students, expatriates, and tourists of all ages.
We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual who has a track record of being a self-starter and problem solver. Candidate must be interested in gaining first-hand event management experience in Shanghai and Beijing, China.
Potential Responsibilities
Nightlife Tours
Daily Tasks
- Manage one intern to drive the social media/digital strategy on mobile and web
- Create special event themes for Shanghai’s #1 nightlife tour (Pub Crawl Shanghai)
- Hire and train pub crawl leaders
- Be on-call for Pub Crawl events
- Update website based on upcoming special events
- Participate in agency brainstorming sessions
Strategic Brand Development
- Establish relationships and work partnerships with suppliers and vendors, including universities, alcohol distributors, hostels, travel agencies, and restaurants
- Effectively scale and innovate the concept of Pub Crawl Shanghai: craft beer tours, private wine tastings, etc. Other ideas? You are a perfect fit so far, keep reading.
Dragon Adventures
Daily Tasks
- Manage one intern to drive the social media/digital strategy on mobile and web
- Create itineraries for upcoming events and post online with support of interns
- Oversee day to day customer service communication
- Lead Dragon Adventures trips
- Update website based on upcoming adventures
- Report directly to Director of Dragon Adventures
Strategic Brand Development
- Scale the brand of Dragon Adventures by incorporating new trip concepts: corporate retreats, MBA tours and training
- Participate in agency brainstorming sessions
Job Qualifications
- Aligns with current Dragon team members who value being responsible, honest and reliable, displaying self-initiative and embodying a positive attitude
- Enjoys networking and communicating with people
- Good judgment and the ability to keep calm in any situation
- Pre-existing relationships with promoters or ability to hire and manage university promoters
- Comfortable making presentations
- Basic content uploading skills for website
Job Requirements
- Fluent English Speaker
- Fluent Chinese Speaker – Intermediate level
- Graduate from a Bachelor’s degree or above
- Excellent creative writing and event management skills
- Experience in creating/strategizing social media content for businesses
- Be reachable 24/7 when leading weekend trip or night life tour
- Flexible schedule – ability to travel occasionally on weekends
- Managerial experience a plus
