  1. INTRODUCTION

Nowadays, the growing trend in café culture and its popularity among youth has been increased as the eating out culture is popular in the high, middle as well as low income areas and classes. A large number of cafés, restaurants, fast-food outlets, and informal eateries have mushroomed all over the city targeting customers from various socioeconomic backgrounds. These are largely frequented by the youth and it is becoming more common for young men and women to spend time in cafes with groups of friends. This trend has led us to open a business café name Mallow Café.

Mallow Café is a new small budget startup business that aimed at producing a delicious dessert from a natural product, is about to enter the Beverages Market which is highly competitive and is dominated by strong Brands of establish company. Mallow Café will offer a sophisticated yet informal ambiance, quickly established a good reputation and become the preferred hangout spot for the elite. Mallow Café will offer a new types of dessert for its café and brand it to compete with other existing café in Malaysia. Its mission is to sell delicious and remarkable food to their customer.

Mallow Café offer a fast delicious food to its customers. Mallow café is not going to produce all of its menu except for the drinks and the special menu symbolizing the café. For the other menu dessert and pastry, Mallow Café will identify their most suitable supplier to provide the food. It is to minimize cost since they are a small business startup. In the future, when Mallow Café is profitability enough and have a strong finance, Mallow Café will buy all equipment to produce its own food and planning to open new branches.

The food and drink that we sell hope to meets the highest standards of quality, freshness and seasonality that combines both Western and East styles of dessert and pastry. Other than that, it is to inspire and to connect people that come in the café. Mallow Café vision is to be a leader in innovation, product and quality.

  1. NATURE OF PRODUCT

Mallow Café is just like the other café’s that offered various flavors of coffee, hot beverages, shakes, pastries, dessert and other bakery items.  What makes it different to other café is, as mentioned in the introduction, Mallow Café will create a new dessert that symbolize the café which is the “ChocofruitPizza” for a dessert lover among the elite. ChocoFruitPizza is a new food product pizza base with hot chocolate sauce as its layering on top with fresh seasonal fruits as its toppings then served with crushed sugar as seasoning. It is actually an existing types of food in the western country but not in Malaysia. This had given an opportunity for Mallow café to bring the innovation product in Malaysia market and brand it with the name of “ChocoFruitPizza”. ChocoFruitPizza is the combination of three important elements of this product which is the merge of Chocolate, Fruit, and Pizza. These three elements are the main ingredients in the dessert itself. The café will let customers to choose and personalize how the ChocoFruitPizza they want. For example the type of fruits for the dessert topping.
