Abstract

When working for a big corporation it is the responsibility of everyone involved to makes a product that is safe for all consumers. If I was in a position where I knew a product was unsafe or defective, I know that it is my responsibility to bring it to the attention of everyone higher up in the company. I know that it will be difficult to tell the managers and the CEO of the company that they have created a product that is unsafe or defective, and the only way to break bad news is just to do it. I am a mother so I know how it is to want products that are safe for my kids, so that it was I am going to focus on, infant seats if not used properly can be very unsafe, but what’s worst is having an infant seat that is defective and is being recalled by the company. The way I found out that the product was recalled was a flyer that was posted on a board in the store by the bathrooms, I don’t think that was a very effective way to let all the customers know that a product was recalled.

I know that a new infant seat is defective and that it is unsafe to put in stores. I am going to request an emergency meeting with the CEO, the directors and managers of the company I work for, and tell them I think there is a problem with one of our products, and I need to bring it to their attention right away. When we sit down for our meeting I will have the defective product with me, so I can show them the problem instead of just telling them about it. The infant she has the buckle to strap the baby in, but the fastening bar on the back that keeps the strap tight is missing, meaning even though the baby is fastened into the baby seat, if the car stops suddenly the baby will possibly sit straight up because the straps are not fastened in the back so there is nothing to keep them tight. I would than show them a great clamp to apply to the back of the seat that will allow the straps to be adjusted, so they are not too tight, and not to loose. The safety of the customers
