Event Viewer Case

The Event Viewer is a component of Microsoft's Windows NT line of operating systems; this allows administrators and users to view the event logs on a local or remote machine. The Event Viewer is structured around easy to understand information, for example, the Date and Time of each event are given with the Source of each problem. The source can be a program, a single file of a program or a system file. I can use the Event Viewer to see what program has made my computer run so or even see what program I installed/downloaded gave me a virus.

Windows Task Manager is an application that provides the user detailed information about computer performance, running applications, processes and CPU usage; commit charge and memory information, network activity and statistics, logged-in users, and system services. You can access the Task Manager by pressing alt ctrl and delete or by right clicking where your time and date bar is. I have used task master mainly for when my computer stops responding .Normally when I do this, I check to see what application is using too much of my computers CPU and end the process, or just to see how much network activity my computer has been using.

The Reliability Monitor helps you quickly diagnose potential causes of instability so that you can apply scenarios or updates in a targeted manner, rather than attempting a broad-spectrum update or reconfiguration. I personally have never used this, or have even heard if it until this class; However after reading more about it I can use this OS tool to see the performance of my computer in the performance monitor section and then improve the speed of my computer.
