  1.  Business name

History

Nypa fruticans also known as nipa or sasa is one of the species of palm native in the coastlines, Pacific Ocean and rivers commonly in the Philippines. Nipa palm grows in soft mud and slow moving tidal and rivers that bring nutrients to its stems, leaves and fruits.

        The group used the original name which is “NIPA” and “ANGAT” because of its power to make our lives better by making some useful things, creative ideas and excellent products to offer in the market. The business name is NIPA-ANGAT with this name the product itself can be recognized and accepted by the public because of its inspiring and refreshing word “NIPA-ANGAT”.

  1. Business Offerings

Nipa is commonly used in making bayuger or pinaor to make a roof material of a house. The stem can be used as fuel for cooking. And it can be used  as a temporary fences in the backyard .Nipa can produce vinegar in a natural way without any chemical used to changed its taste and scent .Aside from vinegar , lambanog is one of the product that nipa can offer because with the used of process of fermentation the vinegar can transform into a TUBA or LAMBANOG to drink like an alcohol, but the taste is different because of it hard but sweet taste. Some people has a knowledge in making NIPA WINE but this product needs more time to be produce because of the different processes and studies must be done to achieved its unique flavor. The farmer’s benefited by this NIPA industry because NIPA palm can be found beside the river and it is organic and it also help the fish to have a shelter to grow.  And it is valued because NIPA holds soil to prevent floods in the community.

  1. Unique quality

The quality that makes “Nipa” unique is that it is organic, natural and essential to everyone’s life. Nipa is not just a leaves from tree but its stem and fruit is rich in glucose that could benefit our body in giving energy to move with grace and confidence in working. it is different from other kind of mangrove because it can produce organic alcohol, pure vinegar, sugar and wine. Based on our collaborated ideas we come up with a product that could change the perception about what nipa tree can offer to the consumers. This nipa sugar distinct to the ordinary sugar, is natural and it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals that can damage our health. Our generation is already health conscious due to hazardous illness, such as cancer, hypertension and diabetes. So they are finding alternative foods that are healthy to their body.

The nipa angat has this kind of characteristic that surprises the customers perception towards nipa because nipa-angat is uncommon to the ear and taste of individual when you already taste and smell this product you could say “ angat sa sarap” . this product also change its color because of fermentation the color will transform into its natural color and its taste is absolutely stunning .

Nipa Angat is a partnership in structure due to the aspiration of our entity to flourish the discovery conducted in one of the highly agricultured institution in Pangasinan. The industry we aim to confect is a dedication to prove that we as Pangasinense as an ideal citizen for social entrepreneurship. Determination and high spirited motivation is our key to discover the mutual commitment and building (future) Pangasinan as center of Native products. The integrity we found to lift Bolasi, San fabian to be known as one of the best Nipa production in the Philippines, is beyond goodness.
