In today’s chaotic health care setting, categorized due to the economic slowdown that we are becoming faced with. In another light, actively involved and up-to-date health care customers and hospitals are challenging the essential business encounters of both survival and success. Now, the leaders that are within healthcare organizations are implementing and creating a variation of initiatives directed towards establishing a more enhanced value as they fight to compete in an unpredictable market. Virtual teams are becoming the go to proposals for handling increased organizational difficulty and as control for change.
There are constant changes that surround the healthcare world such as a diminishing workforce, limitations on funding, the quick advances of technology, and the new evolution and production of virtual teams has been acknowledged as a significant problem that affects healthcare both internationally as well as locally. In order for hospitals and health care professionals to deliver maintainable, receptive service, patient centered care, quality service, and the ability to preserve a working environment of exceedingly qualified and capable employees. This is why various healthcare organizations including mine have decided to innovate virtual teams.
The current healthcare organization that I work for has a virtual team program named the telehealth program. Telehealth allows my healthcare organization’s healthcare professionals check and treat their patients through an internet program. By utilizing live, two way audio and visual technology via a set program on the computer, tablet, and smartphones patients are given the opportunity to speak with various health care professionals from work and at home. With our organization, the telehealth team emails an individual in registration stating that there is a patient who needs to remote in with a physician at a set particular time. The registration staff member then gets in contact with telehealth and remotes in virtually to speak with the patient. The process is very quick and smooth. Also, patient care teams from to other facilities can also set up virtual consults with one another, doctors can examine patients who are in other locations across the world, and nurses can screen patients
