Introduction

          The efficiency and effectiveness in the management of organizations are achieve through adapt organization development techniques. Students are able to increase their knowledge and understanding of organizational development. The purpose of this assignment is to help the students to understand, utilize, and assess organization development techniques. Students are using these organization techniques to manage the culture in the organization in order to achieve organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This assignment enables students to know more about the importance of development and able to understand the alternative development methods for organizations and change process. The organization development techniques are used to improve efficiencies and expand productivity of an organization.

Body

          Organizational development is a strategy that employed to improve organizational effectiveness by changing the attitudes, values, perception and structure of organizations so that they are able to adapt quickly to new circumstances. It is the act or process that advance the organizational growth. Organizational development is the transfer of behavioral science knowledge to a planned, organization wide and continuous process to improve health of an organization. It includes the procedures and ways to improve the performance, productivity and effectiveness of an organization. Organizational development techniques can help the organization adapt to changing situation in a better way. The key reason for adapting organizational development techniques is to manage culture of the organizations in order to improve performance.

          Every organization have their own unique personality and characteristics. The unique personality and characteristics of an organization is the culture of the organization. Organizational culture includes all the values, norms, beliefs and behaviors that are contribute as characteristics of an organization. Organizational culture develops itself and seen differently by different members within the organizations. There are difference aspects of culture between people, so no culture is better than another. Organizational culture controls how individuals in the organization communicate between each other and how they work together in order to achieve organizational goals. Culture have a strong influence on the employees in the organizations and it control how employees behave in the organizations. Culture in the organization is unique and is one of the difficult things to change. The culture makes the organization what it is and distinguish one organization from another. It includes people from all different backgrounds and unifies and allows people to learn from one another of different culture. There are no organization or company exists without a culture, but every company operates under a different type of one. An organization without culture will never achieve greatness.
