HR Policies for MNC bank that enters India Market
Bank makes sure that the policies are fair enough to treat the employees with outmost respect for their rights that they deserve. The banks HR policies are geared to attract motivate and develop people who are perceptive, respectful, fair, progressive and responsive. Policies of the bank are drafted by keeping the motto of ‘our people, our bank- global presence’.
The main objective of the bank’s policy is ‘Employees' clarity and acceptance of HR policies to improve their loyalty’. All policies that govern the bank are aligned to the bank’s strategy of being ‘bank by choice for all stakeholders’.
Recruitment and Selection policy:
The hiring process is initiated with the Job requisition by the reporting manager and confirmation by the HR manager as per the business need.
The policy emphasises on diversity in hiring policy through different sources of recruitment- internal recruitment (succession planning, referrals, internal job posting and talent inventory) and external recruitment (campus hiring, calling vendors, e-recruitment). Selection procedure differs for junior, middle, senior management level. Reporting manager and supervisor, HR manager is involved in the process as per the requirement and predetermination. After the selection process offer making and on boarding process is taken care by the HR department.
HR department takes necessary steps to avoid glass ceiling and encourages women employees to achieve their goals and career aspirations. For middle and senior managers during the selection process through succession planning or talent inventory mode of recruitment, if the employee finds any discrimination or glass ceiling effect, they can raise the issue in the ‘internal portal grievance redressal portal’ immediately after the first list of result announcement. HR department conducts an enquiry and reaches the employee with the solution in the reasonable time. Final list of selection is then released. Bank shall employ the expatriates for temporary purpose for any job position. But the host country national is connected to them closely for any work related process.
Competent Clause is taken into consideration before hiring the candidate from external sources.
Rehiring policy:
This policy aims to rehire former employees to attract and retain talent for its business by verifying their eligibility to re-associate with the bank.
Eligible for rehiring:
If the former employee resigns and exits on good terms with the organization, then they are eligible to reapply for the available.
For rehiring these candidates the following reasons are considered.
Education: If the employee resigns the organisation for pursuing higher education, they are eligible immediately after completion of their course. Their eligibility shall be approved only after providing valid certificates of proof.
