People heard the name Mary Kay from different ways, maybe you heard the name from magazine, your friends, or you got it on the internet. When you first enter the company, the director of Mary Kay will introduce the organization's objective, history, philosophy, procedures, and rules. The director will tell you that Mary Kay Inc. is a multi level marketing company that sells skin care and cosmetics products. Mary Kay' objective is to enrich women's life, help women develop their full potential through a variety of training, leadership and mentoring programs. All of the employees must follow the four basic values: Go-give spirit, the golden rule---"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Make me feel important, and "God first, family second, career third."○14 Then the director will introduce the founder Mary Kay ash and her life story to new employees to inspire them to become a successful woman.
In our opinion, that content will help new beauty consultants reduce their anxiety, and help them adjust to the company better. In the orientation, director provides a vision for the company and helps them feel good about the company.
As we can see, understanding the Mary Kay's culture has played an important role in the organization. An employee who has been properly socialized to the organization's culture knows what acceptable behavior is and what is not. As we analysis, go-give spirit helps sales force introduce the product calmly. When they introduce the products to customers, they keep the go-give spirit in mind. If the customer refuses to use the products, they will feel less sense of failure because at least they share the products with him or her, let him or she knows about the company and has a delight experience of trust, caring and relationship building.
