In Hunter Worth case, communication is an significant aspect in which there has been a breakdown. This breakdown has obviously exposed cultural differences among two countries where Hunter Worth is in business i.e. the North America and her neighbour Mexico. This cultural difference has emerged through the communication channels that are currently used by these two countries.

Chuck Moore is honestly writing a polite and professional email only to inquire about the delay of orders by the Mexican plant and unfortunately Vicente Ruiz does not take it in a friendly way. Vicente replies the email not to explain and express his concern about the lateness but extends the delay further. This shows the sad state of communication breakdown between the two plants. It seems like Vicente could be happy if Chuck called him by phone to talk to him directly instead of using email.

The reason for communicating to Vicente is to investigate why there was delay in expected orders. Chuck’s communication to Michael Sato was only to convey failure of his actual duties and in fact he as the President of sales and marketing could have been the first to notice the problem before the president. Channel of communication is a key factor that can be considered because the Mexicans like or prefer phone calls to emails, but emails are most preferred in the United States. Michael Sato communication level can be different from the level of communication because of his seniority and with Vicente Ruiz who was his junior.

The reasons for communicating with Vicente are to investigate why there is a delay in the order expected. Chuck interactions with Michael Sato is only to convey the disappointment of the tasks, in fact he as president of sales and marketing may have been the first to be known before the president.
