Explain the importance of providing employee benefit plans to employees working in the chosen positions. Hotel auditor and hotel marketing

Employee benefits are very important now a days.  Most people looking for jobs straight out of college, or even while they are still in college, are looked past when it comes to positions in their career path.  Smaller organizations use employee benefits to attract those, not to help boost their resume, but to help them build a better organization as well.  Employers also use employee benefits to help an applicant determine whether or not they will accept their employment offers.  A lot of organizations don’t advertise that they are offering employee benefits until the job offer is given so that they can use it as a leverage point.  As a hotel auditor and hotel marketing, you go through a lot of stressful times.    When employers offer those positions discounted stays at deluxe hotels, unlimited access to the pool and workout rooms, they are opening a door that could cost a normal person a lot of money.  When offering the positions, if they use these clues as leverage to sway someone’s decision, it is a sure fire win.  Most people aren’t looking for just hourly wages anymore, they are looking for benefits and extras.  If the employer uses these benefits for those who aren’t sure they want the position, they make it hard to turn down such important roles such as the hotel auditor and hotel marketing.  Plus it makes those positions that much more fun, and less likely to just quit.  Employers also use these employee benefits as a leverage point for those who are already employed as a determining factor.  According to the reading, nearly two thirds of workers indicate that their benefits are an important reason as to why they stay with their current employer and are satisfied with their jobs (DeCenzo, Robbins, & Verhulst, 2013, p. 302).  Benefits can be expensive when one is looking to use them on their own, even with help from the government.  Benefits offered through employment become a lot more inexpensive and act as a security blanket for the employee.  Not only are they covered in case of any emergencies, but they won’t have to pay any fines when it comes to tax season now.  Employer benefits provided as a group plan can offer waivers of medical examinations for insurance; guarantee issuance of policies, regardless of preexisting medical conditions; and portability of the policy if the employee leaves the employer provided group plans can also offer waivers of medical examinations for insurance; guarantee issuance of policies, regardless of preexisting medical conditions; and portability of the policy if the employee leaves the employer (DeCenzo, Robbins, & Verhulst, 2013, p. 302).
