Interpersonal Conflict

I would be lying if I say that I haven’t come across any conflicts in my life. In fact I have experienced several interpersonal conflicts with family, friends, co-workers, employers, and total strangers at different stages of my life but the conflict which I’m going to talk about in this write up was faced by me at my previous workplace with one of my colleagues.
My colleague Abc was an expert, having served the company for more than four years, she came a long way starting from the lowest position and working her way up steadily. However, I on the other hand, had recently joined the company and was younger to her both in terms of age and experience. Despite my inexperience, I was considered very talented in the organization and had promoted to the same position as Abc within a few months of joining the company. Of course when Abc heard about my promotion, she was not happy to see someone so young and inexperienced to be promoted so quickly, whereas it took years for her to achieve her current position.
After few weeks past my promotion, Abc and I had been tasked into working together on a very important project. We distributed the work like professionals and everything was functioning smoothly until Abc realised that she was having trouble finishing the project within the deadline. As very often I used to leave the office in time, unlike Abc who used to work overtime almost every day. This made her think that I dint have a fair share of work in the project.
One evening, when my manager called her to check on the status of the project, she dint know how to tell him that she’s facing problem in completing it so she blamed me for not contributing enough and that’s why there’ll be a delay in the project.
