Test 1
1.
a. Jenny is an extravert, while Connie appears to be more of an introvert. Connie tends to keep things to herself, and she does not voice her concerns to Jenny. Jenny seems to do more talking than listening in her interactions with Connie. Connie is also more of a sensor, and Jenny’s personality is more intuitive. Connie wants all of the details no matter how major or minor they may be while she works to complete projects. Jenny focuses on the big picture, and she can’t understand why Connie does not. Jenny is also a thinker, and Connie is a feeler. Connie concerns herself with the opinions of the team members when she is working. She believes that what the team members think is valuable to the project as they are the ones actually implementing the projects. Jenny does not care how the team members think or feel about the project, and she does not think Connie should be worried about the team’s thoughts or feelings either. Jenny is very task oriented, and she is not concerned with how people feel, she is just concerned about getting work done. Connie is a perceiver. She thrives at the last minute. Jenny also gets frustrated because she feels Connie has no sense of time. She focuses on what she believes Connie is doing wrong, and does not try to help or give the positive feedback Connie needs. Jenny also needs to work on controlling her emotions. She has admitted to having outbursts when she has lost her temper. She also does not control her defensive responses when she talks to Connie. She must learn how to control her feelings in order to preserve objectivity when she is making decisions, especially since she is considering firing Connie. She also needs to improve her social skills. She does not communicate clearly or effectively, and that leaves Connie uncertain of the expectations Jenny has. Jenny does not create a positive climate at work, especially for Connie.
