During the course of group project, I learned to evaluate ethical issues and also ethical project through different perspectives. However, I did have some misunderstandings throughout the project. Eventually, I managed to get to the correct methodology to finish the project. After doing this course and project, I get to know more about the execution of company’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).

Thanks for the opportunity to do the project of evaluating the effectiveness of social responsibility project conducted by KPMG. For the reason of assisting our project, we got the opportunity to go to KPMG office and learn the true value mechanism. Throughout the sharing session, it is learnt that the ethical project can be evaluated by three independent perspective which are social value, environmental value and also economic value. They are not essentially positive. Sometimes they could be negatively affecting the whole project. So, if we have to evaluate an ethical matter, we have to consider a wide range of all rounded factors, in order to obtain a more objective, true and fair answer at the end.

However, before having the sharing session in KPMG office, I initially thought the true value mechanism is an actual software that helps us to plot a graph to evaluate different social, economic and environmental value. But, I discovered that true value mechanism is actually a set of concepts that can help one to evaluate a subject more objectively from different perspective. It is an even more valuable experience than learning a software. Also, I initially was not sure about how to use the economic value methodology to do our project. Luckily, through the discussion of our groupmates, I got to learn more deeply into the methodology and choose the right one for our project.
