This memo is authorized by Minister of Health Canada to respond how to satisfy the needs of aging population about health care system in Canada. In 2015, the number of baby boomers excessed the number of people that aged from 0 to 14.  It is predicted that aging population will count approximately 25% in 2036. Therefore, satisfying aging people’s needs in health care system is an important issue Health care system can be improved by enhancing primary health care, promoting appropriate drug use and providing community activities.

Enhance Primary Health Care

Generally, aging people has a weakened immunity system; therefore, primary health care is important to them. Primary health care as the fundamental part of health care system includes illness treatment, health promotion and injury prevention. Having a regular family physician can ensure seniors receive the primary health care services. The family physician will be more familiar with seniors’s conditions and they will make more accurate judgement on seniors’ health conditions. As sometimes seniors need to wait more than six days to see a family physician, it is better to make a effective and efficient working system.

Psychological health care services will help seniors to modify their behaviors  to prevent and recover health problems. Good psychological conditions will lead people stay in a good mood which help them  

Promote appropriate drug use

Appropriate drug use will alleviate people’s suffering and cured it. Using multiple medications and inappropriate drugs are most likely to increase the “risk of drug interaction and side effect” which will lead people to be weaker than before.
